WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY?
My favorite class was Food and Culture in Italy. Professor Gori was a great teacher and allowed us to try many Italian delicacies such as different wines and pastries in class. Being able to know about the foods seen around the country was a great benefit to my experience.
HOW DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
When I decided to eat out in Florence (which was often), I tried to go to more local restaurants. When eating at the hole-in-the-wall places, I was able to learn about the people that run restaurants and they were able to learn about us as well. I also was able to talk to my professors who lived in Florence about their personal lives to learn a lot about their lives as well.
